Bay proves he belongs in R rated territory with ‘Pain and Gain’

The other is the three characters it is based on, Daniel Lugo, Paul Doyle and Arian Doorbal, are complete and total idiots.

‘Broken City’ is a broken movie with a pretty great cast — movie review

brokencity2Ah, January movies. Every now and then there is a great one — at least I want to believe that. This isn’t it. Of course, like any movie, “Broken City” could have been amazing.

Unfortunately, the director set out to make a completely different movie than he was given in the screenplay and it ends up being a mess. ‘Contraband’ too obvious and cliché to be interesting — movie review

In “Contraband” Mark Wahlberg plays Chris Farraday, a former smuggler who is trying to go straight and live a normal life with his wife and kids. Of course that isn’t easy, especially when his wife has a moron brother who gets into some trouble with some bad dudes. So Marky Mark has to take action, assemble his crew and pull of some jobs, schemes, etc. in order to get his brother in law, himself and his family out of the deep.
