‘Dark Shadows’ might be a sign that it’s time for Tim Burton and Johnny Depp to see other people

You would think that Tim Burton and Johnny Deep teaming up to do a story about vampires love story that spans centuries would be the perfect movie for them. I thought so, too. I was wrong. What started out on paper with promise hit screens with a great big snooze. “Dark Shadows” is based on a TV show that was on the air before I was born. I’d say that people who watched the vampire soap opera might be able to appreciate it more than I did, but judging from those that I’ve talked to, that isn’t the case.

The movie has so many plot holes, you might confuse it with a whiffle ball when it gets to store shelves. There is so much going on that doesn’t make sense that it almost doesn’t make sense for it to make so little sense. If that sentence confused you, then avoid this movie. I’m a long time Depp and Burton fan. I wanted to like this movie. Yet, I did not.
