Channing Tatum is funny? ’21 Jump Street’ pokes hilarious fun — movie review

Who would have thought when the “21 Jump Street” movie was announced in 2009 that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill would be a perfect fit for the reboot? The original series that jump started the career of some guy named Johnny Depp was far from a comedy but really, the premise– cops posing as teenagers and going undercover in high schools– is ripe for  parody.

‘Cyrus’ (2010) — movie review

There really is something special about the bond of love between a mother and her son. Especially when the mother clearly has loneliness issues and the son has overwhelming detachment issues. Such is the situation presented in “Cyrus”, a bit of a dark comedy starring John C. Reilly, Catherine Keener, Marisa Tomei and Jonah Hill.
