‘Men in Black 3’ (2012) review; 100 Movies in 90 Days part II

#6 of 100 on my 100 Movies I’ve Never Seen Before Challenge (part II)

The original “Men in Black” was a movie that helped put Will Smith on the map of bankable movie stars. It was funny, inspired and original. The chemistry between Smith’s smart ass Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones’ dry Agent K was spectacular. The sequel, however, was so bad it almost made the first one look bad by association. When I heard they were making a third “MiB” flick ten years after that last crappy money grab, I was less than enthused. ‘American Reunion’ (2012) movie review

You know how when you’re in high school and everything seems so great. It seems like you’ll cherish those memories and those friends forever. As time goes on, you miss the people, the parties, the craziness and think, “man, if I could only go back and relive that time”. Then your high school reunion comes along and you think, “hmm. those people aren’t as much fun as I remember”? In fact some of them are kind of on the douche bag side, making you wish you still only had the high school memory because it’s just not fun anymore? That pretty much sums up “American Reunion”.

‘Underworld: Awakening’ shows sings of a franchise running on fumes — movie review

It’s a bad sign when you get ten minutes into a movie and think, “oh, man, this is gonna suck.” Unfortunately that’s where I was with “Underworld: Awakening”, the forth in the “Underworld” series but only the third with the beautiful Kate Beckinsale. “Awakening” takes place 12 years after “Evolution”– remember “Rise of the Lycans” was a prequel.
