‘Anna Karenina’ bends reality line between stage and screen — movie review

Many consider Leo Tolstoy’s novel, “Anna Karenina” to be the greatest love stories ever told. Over the years, the years there have been numerous adaptations of the serial novel that was published from 1873 to 1877. The latest version from director Joe Wright (“Atonement”) is a movie filled with love and hope but also heartbreak and tragedy as well as a visual treat that will not soon be forgotten. It is the story of love, of great love– powerful love and all the stupid things love can make us do. It is also a heart-breaking tale of the tragically selfish things love can draw us into.
